SUBJECTS
ADVANCED COMPUTERS:
Advanced Computers is a one-year course designed to develop skills that will allow students to become proficient with the Microsoft Programs Excel and PowerPoint. The first semester the students will learn the Excel program. Students will learn to create worksheets, charts, and graphs, and use formulas and functions. The second semester the students will learn to use the PowerPoint program. Students will learn to develop a presentation, and customize it using advanced techniques.
ACCOUNTING I:
Accounting I is a one year course. Students will learn how to keep a set of double entry records for a business organized as proprietorship, a business organized as partnership, and a business organized as a corporation. Several business simulations are done reviewing all the concepts of the accounting cycle.
ACCOUNTING II:
Accounting II is a one-year course open to any student who has successfully completed Accounting I. Greater emphasis is focused on forms of business organization- sole proprietorship, partnership and corporation. This course includes both manual and automated problems. The automated problems are completed using Peachtree Software.
BUSINESS LAW:
Business Law is a one-semester course. Students will study legal issues everyone will encounter in their lifetime. Topics included are crimes, torts, law and the minor, contract rights, courtroom procedures and purchasing an automobile.
INTRO TO COMPUTERS:
Intro To Computers is a one-year course designed to develop skills that will allow students to become proficient with the Microsoft Word software. Documents produced will include memos, letters, envelopes, reports, tables, itineraries, mailing labels and mail merged letters as well as using graphic and Word Art to dress up their documents.
Students will also learn to use the Dragon Naturally Speaking voice activated software.
